This browband is on black English leather with black velvet
ribbon, deep aqua satin ribbon, pale aqua satin
ribbon and thin silver metallic ribbon. The flags have pale aqua satin
ribbon as the base, deep aqua satin ribbon above and thin metallic
silver ribbon on top. The rosettes are larger than usual and
are made of deep aqua satin ribbon with silver backed glass
buttons. |

browband was made for a very elegant grey Andalusian mare.
Her forehead is very wide (the browband itself measures 17 1/2
inches!) and the reason for the flags being so long is that she is
being shown in the USA where there is a standard length set for
flags in Andalusian classes (they have to be between 7 and 9
inches long); we chose the longer length to be more in keeping
with the shape of her head. You can't really see in the
photographs but the silver backed glass buttons catch and reflect
the light and this, together with the aqua and the silver metallic
ribbon, really show off this stunning mare to full advantage. |
