This browband is of havana
English leather with forest green satin ribbon, antique white satin ribbon, black
velvet ribbon and thin metallic gold ribbon. The flags have two layers
of forest green satin
ribbon as a base with thin metallic
gold ribbon on top. The rosettes are forest green with gold
buttons and are in from the browband loop. |
| This
browband was made for a bright bay who has been competing
successfully at County level as a yearling. He has a wide
forehead compared to the rest of his head and the rosettes being
in from the browband loop minimise this. As he has a white
star, antique white was used rather than pure white as the latter
would make his star look dingy. |
|
| This end detail
shows a second browband which uses pale yellow satin ribbon
instead of the antique white; this gives the optical illusion of
lightening and softening the forest green. The flags have
pale yellow satin ribbon as their base and the gold button in the
rosette is more ornate As you can see although this has same
main colour as the top browband, they both have a very different
look. |
 |
| This browband was
made for a young bay Riding Horse who has been doing very well at County level. He has quite a few white face
markings and so the pale yellow was used to avoid having too much white on his face.
