This browband is on havana
English leather with scarlet satin ribbon, antique white satin
ribbon, black velvet ribbon and thin metallic gold ribbon. The flags
are scarlet satin ribbon as a base, antique white satin ribbon above
and thin metallic gold ribbon on top of both. The rosettes are
scarlet with gold buttons and are on the browband loop. |
| This
browband was made for a bright bay who has been competing
successfully at County level as a yearling and a two year old.
He has a few white face markings and so antique white satin ribbon
was used instead of pure white, which would have made his white face
markings look dingy. |
This end detail shows a
second browband which uses a thicker metallic gold ribbon and has
the colours of the main browband and flags in a different order.
As you can see, although the browbands have the same main colours
they
have a very different look and style. |
 |
| This
browband was made for a skewbald cob type who has been competing at
local shows. The main browband is slightly 'chunkier' than the
first browband shown, which is more in keeping for the cob style and
the rosettes are smaller and have been moved to the very far end of
the browband loops in order to emphasise the width of his forehead. |
